Hyperion E-meter

Hyperion E-meter is a very good option for e flyers that wants to be abul to make a good setup for your electric powered system, this emeter can messure Amps, Volts, mAh, time and RPM, also do efficiency messurments of your total setup. Main use with this is to messure amps and Volts on your powersystem under load, to see wich prop is best fitted, also make sure you don´t overload your motor/ESC/battery.
Compared to the Watts up amp meter, it feels a bit plastic, not as nicely build and designed as the watts up thats also a bit smaller. Advantage of the E-meter is that it can register and save the parameters in a memory, also you can connect it to your computer and make real time messurments of your setup, this is very usefull for testing batterys, capacity and voltage during load, everything is saved in the computer and you can also chose to save diffrent graps of the test.

The inbuild RPM meter is a smart solution, now you don´t have to use a separate RPM meter, down side is that the E-meter is big and it can be hard to hold close to the prop during the test, also the RPM data on the display is updated slowly, on the bright side it do not require so much light. 

I think the best fetures of the E-meter is to messure Lipo batterys during charge and discharge, here one can see the performance of the battery directly displayed on the computer monitor in grafs. I don´t like the Deans connectors that the E-meter is equiped with, these connectors aren´t good enough for high powered setups up to 100Amp. Also the instructions arent very good, many fetures of the E-meter you have to figure out your self, good thing is that its easy to use but beginners can find problem in understanding all the options availibul on the E-meter, here one have to serch tru the intrenet to find information and tips.

The E-meter is a very good pice of equipment for e-flyers, both professional and hobby users, register data during charge/discharge of your battery or find out the performance of your new brusshless motor! how many watts is my powersystem? can i mount a bigger prop? how many rpm do i get with a smaler prop? is my ESC to smal ? short flight times...why? all these questions and more can be answered with the the E-meter!

E-meter can also be used to programme the Hyperion ESC controllers, i think this is not as easy as the smart and cheap Jeti prog card, but it works! and also nicely showing the changes you are doing on the display. You can also use it to messure total efficiency of your powersystem, this being done by prop constants, this is for your own local testing and comparing your diffrent setups and options.
